and features some of the original Luftwaffe blue gray Fliegerblau (Flier's Blue) wool on the bottom of the lower band

which still has the inner plastic seal intact

not uncommon as they were cast and the shock from firing could cause them to crack

The badge is stamped aluminum and has an interesting construction with a swiveling brass keeper that would be secured by a pin.
