This is a high quality Victorian era Law Enforcement small but very substantial Police Truncheon, almost certainly carried by an Officer of Rank or Detective on a mount (horse). Made from a very heavy hard wood with a substantial brass pommel, with the remains of the wrist thong through the pommel mount. The body of the truncheon wood faintly but unmistakably marked with a Queen Victoria royal cypher: a CROWN stamped
