There was pretty much no way I could leave this behind once I had seen it

who used them for some of his drawing classes

but they are special ones

I'm always amazed things like this have survived--just cardboard and paper construction--and

but I’m developing quite a fondness of small seascape watercolors

And the setting composition, fluttery leaves behind him and spiky ones running in a diagonal to frame his leg, is just right. 4 3 8" x 2 13 16". Very good condition.
