Clever Little Late Victorian Flask Shaped Leather and SIlver Plate Vesta gray paint but well loved he certainlyI found this and a second antique vesta at an antiques shop in Vermont this week there were several more as well, clearly one person's collection. Just like an antique pocket flask in miniature, this one dates to the late 19th century I believe, and I believe the body is silver plate, with leather covering the top half. Hinged at the shoulders, it is rather a satisfying thing to pop it open, with room for a handful of matches inside or a good secret
