and one lost loop around the lip

just surface wear to the wood

some detailed with veins that simultaneously read as whisps of hair framing each face

"The Guide to Happines" Christmas 1848 Punch Paper Embroidery Bookmark ebony and bone One of the things IQuite an early punch paper embroidery, dated Dec. 25, 1848, and I think a pretty great one, casting the bible as "the guide to happiness" minus one "s". Pretty wreath of greens encircling the book, and lovely silk ribbon for the bookmark too. All in remarkably good condition. Embroidery itself: 3 5 8" x 2". Overall: 13 1 2" x 2 3 8". Very very good condition.
