This is a lovely example of a British George IV Era (1820 1830) Pattern 1822 Officer's Sword. The sword is very nice, and has an upmarket brass Pattern 1822 hilt, with a wooden sharkskin wrapped grip bound with twisted wire. There is some wear to the sharkskin, and the guard is a bit deformed, but overall it's a very nice hilt. There is a very attractive CROWN GR IV Royal Cypher on the top of the guard. It even has a
