It was commonly called the Me 109 most often by Allied aircrew and even amongst the German aces themselves even though this was not the official German designation

Every aspect of this chit is constructed out of separate pieces of leather except for the handwriting. Measures 7 3 4"W x 11 1 2"H. This would have been stitched to the back or inside lining of a U. S. Aviator flight jacket. These were issued as part of the standard contents
