SOLD Curious Antique Relief Carved Pine Round with Painted Birds and Vines parts In addition to the whiteBetween the birds and the star and the color, my guess is that this carving in Pennsylvania Dutch. And with a good amount of wear around the perimeter, suggesting a good lot of handling, and the birds facing in every direction, I might guess it served a functional purpose, perhaps as a lid (or as a print block?) I am not sure. The wood is old, pine I believe, and the manner of the hand carving makes it feel like my favorite sort of drawing. Highly
