The surface shows some a little rusting but mostly just darkening with a age and use

Italian I believe

with intensive carving consuming every inch of the surface of the panel giving the impression of sound filling the air and reverberating in every direction

Striking from a distance, but what I really love about this is how much it changes from every angle, including seeming to morph from a portrait of a young man from one view to that of a much older and wiser one from another. Full of life and depth it feels to me, and a rich one to live with. Unsigned, sculpted of red clay,
