This is a GENUINE civil war Confederate Canteen from the BENEDICT MUSEUM on STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK, which sadly closed in the 1920s. The entire contents were put into storage and were sold, as a lot, to one of the East Coast's most venerable Civil War Dealers, from whom IMA has acquired it. This is a red painted tin "drum" shaped canteen just 5" across. The Canteen comes with a small cork stopper which is most probably a
