There is another drawing that I believe came from the same portfolio initialed JK (or possibly KJ)

Perhaps the wood for this carving itself came from Ft

To me he seems a bit cranky and a bit awkward and possessive of a bit of an attitude but with a very kind and completely endearing soul

with very nice age to it

I just didn't quite have the patience

Doux Souvenir (Sweet Memory), Antique French Hand-drawn Postcard with Bird pinback button There is another drawing thatThe French "Doux souvenir" translates more or less to "sweet memory" in English and I must say a dove and lilies of peace feel like something of a sweet, increasingly distant memory indeed:( Quite nicely done, wonderful bird, pen and ink in blue and red and green, c. first decade of the 20th century I believe. 5 1 2" x 3 1 4" and in very good condition. One small crease coming in from right edge, as documented, very minor.
