As you know I am a fan of carvings of all sorts

and then this very primitive curled head with eyes on either side

which I think has the feeling of a good luck charm

Tiny but Glorious Early 20th C. Quimper Dish box with birds but I am pretty certainI've never gotten hugely excited about Quimper pottery tin glazed hand painted French faience manufactured in Quimper, a town in Brittany but I've completely fallen in love with the tiny dish. Just a perfect, gloriously colorful, completely joyful thing. The right size for laying one tea bag, or a setting a diamond ring before one goes out to work in the garden. The hand painted mark on the underside dates it 1904 22. 2 7 8 d x 1 2 t and in good
