I purchased it because I thought it was just a beautiful and curious sculptural object that would look great propped or hanging somewhere

either clearly made of copper or described as tinned copper

with royalty and high-ranking officials considering it fashionable to wear carved fruit pit accessories

And what a beautifully drawn tangle of stretching limbs and grabbing hands, with these dense patches of fine hair like lines along the borders between bodies.
