The lids don't lock tightly on

It seems from some research there are a few partial sets like this out there but I can't believe there were very many made as it would have been quite a laborious process: weighing nearly half a pound each

with one small imperfection in the glass running down from the lip--this appears to me to  indigenous to it

The three green posts look rather like pencils

but the exterior is hard and the base is wood

Very Fine 19th Century Gouache and Watercolor Floral Bouquet vintage inuit carving The lids don't lock tightlyWhen I found this I had to question whether it might be a print as the detail is quite amazing, but it is indeed hand done, watercolor and gouache I believe. There is an embossed stamp to the upper left corner of the board, which I can't quite read but which features what looks like a leafy fleur de lys; I might have guessed this was British, but it seems possible from that that it could be French. I'm a sucker for Peonies, and can almost smell these,
