with all over embroidery that reads like tears streaming down his front

I found a painted drum similar to this one a year or so ago and have kept a close eye out ever since as I think they’re stunningly beautiful

I believe this one dates from the early to mid 20th century

This one matches exactly a separately listed example done in tempera, but has a very different feel done in watercolor.
