Original wooden casters. The lower cast iron book shelf rests over the base and is embossed, "Noyes, 6, Aermotor Co. Chicago". Adjust the height by unscrewing this mechanism to raise and lower the stand. Oak panels tilt, spin and expand to accommodate large books. CREATOR Noyes Aermotor Co. Chicago.
