Constructed of gilded magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon overlaid by a mobile swastika, around central stylized initials DRL over a hollow void, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked WERNSTEIN, JENA, measuring 38. 72 mm (w) x 48. 35 mm (h), weighing 17. 5 grams, demonstrating
