Germany, Luftwaffe. A Winter Field Cap Hold two envelopes from the Netherlands(Luftwaffe Wintermtze). A well preserved Luftwaffe winter field cap, constructed of coarse dark blue grey wool. It consists of a pillbox style central cylinder featuring a one piece flap which emanates from the sides and reverse. The flap is lined on the exterior with slate grey wool, and features ear flaps which, when not in use, meet at the crown and are secured together with white cotton drawstrings.
