Constructed of zink, the obverse consisting of an open ended oval oak wreath, with an eagle at the bottom of the badge clutching a propeller, with the top of the wreath decorated by the coat of arms of the Austro Hungarian Empire. Superimposed onto the badge is a banner that is inscribed K. u. K. LUFTFAHRTENTRUPPE, with a vertical pinback, measuring 31. 87 mm (w) x 42. 78 mm (h), in overall good condition.
