Germany, Imperial. A Prussian Observer’s Badge, C.1917 United Republic of arriving in France on the(Beobachterabzeichen). Constructed of silver plated brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a bow tie ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, with a central multi coloured enameled square checkered insignia on a ribbed field, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse applique in place, with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked,
