The book is issued to HelmutSchmidt. It is dated to October 2nd, 1940 and states that Schmidt has been awarded the HJ Proficiency Badge in Silver. Footnote: HelmutSchmidt was born on August 2, 1919 in Ludwigsburg (north of Stuttgart). He joined the HJ on January 20, 1934. Eventually he became a Scharfhrer
