Constructed of blackened bronze, on loop for suspension from a period correct replacement ribbon, the obverse bearing raised central double Sig runes, set within a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse bearing a raised central number 4, overlaid by an inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS), unmarked, with wartime however
