Its simple forehead and chin rests were embellished with padding—made from “imported dog skin

which rotates the propeller and once hung makes the ship fly in a circle

CREATOR Unknown. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c. 1800s. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Zinc Coated Iron. CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. 7 spikes have been broken off DIMENSIONS H 70. 5 in. Diameter 23 in. HISTORY Bottle racks were used to dry wine bottles in the vineyards.
