Constructed of silvered zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a round oak leaf wreath, the obverse with a central mobile swastika circumscribed by an inscription of FR VERDIENST IM LUFTSCHUTZ (FOR SERVICE IN AIR PROTECTION), the reverse with a central date of 1938, unmarked, measuring 38. 71 mm in diameter, weighing 25. 5 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
