The first prototype was a leather covered rectangular wooden box

Base Hospital in Camp Lewis Washington. The photo is black and white and framed in the original wooden frame. The picture has faded somewhat. The wooden frame has a slight brass trim and is in good condition with minor wear and the appropriate patina for its age. CREATOR Unknown. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c. Dec. 17, 1918.
