Type II (1910 1970). In bronze, a circular medal engraving a portrait symbol of the republic on the obverse, surrounded by the inscription REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA (Portuguese Republic), the reverse featuring an engraved angel with the inscription MEDALHA MILITAR COMPORTAMENTO EXEMPLAR 1910, measuring 32. 78 mm (w) x 37. 16 mm (h inclusive of the integral ball),
