Instituted in 1914. In bronze, measuring 28. 3 mm (w) x 39 mm (h), spotting, replacement ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: This medal was the very first Royal Albanian decoration. It was founded to commemorate Prince Wilhelm von Wied's accession to the throne of Albania. The medal was designed by Gustav Gurschner, a famous Albania sculptor.
