It states that Matrosengefreiter (Navy Lance Corporal) Alfred Schneider of the 2nd Torpedo Boat Flotilla is awarded the Destroyer War Badge on December 9, 1940. It is signed in black ink by Captain at Sea and Leader of the Torpedo Boats, Hans Btow. Footnote: Hans Btow (18941974) was a veteran of both the First and Second War,
