An oval badge constructed of silver plated brass, hollow stamped, the obverse with a standard pilots badge motive within a thick wreath, with laurel leaves towards the left, and oak leaves towards the right side of the wreath, separated by a bow on the bottom of the wreath, adorned by a German Imperial crown at the top, the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback, shepherds hook catch, and crimped hinge, unmarked but
