Condition: good, signs of aging, slight rip. A card celebrating the Heldengedenktag (Day of Commemoration of Heroes). It was first instituted as Volkstrauertag (Peoples Mourning Day) during the Weimar Republic, in memory of the fallen soldiers in WWI. It was supposed to be observed quietly and respectfully. The Nazis gave it a new name and a new meaning,
