Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, around a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse hollow, with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42. 45 mm (w) x 52. 82 mm (h), weighing 13. 8 grams, with loss of silver finish evident throughout, in
