The Order was awarded in recognition of those soldiers who exceeded their military obligations and fought on
Tunisia, Republic. An Order Of Independence, Iv Class Officer, C.1960 Archive Japanese markings on the blade's(Wisam al Istiqlal). Instituted in 1956, Re organized in 1959. Three piece construction, in bronze gilt with red and white enamels, measuring 56. 5 mm (w) x 62 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, intact enamels, very light contact, large rosette affixed to its original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of Independence was instituted on September 16, 1956 by King Muhammad al Amin and re organized in March 1959 by the Republic.
