The amulet is ornamented on both sides. One with flowery design and the other side with arabic writing. This kind of Zar amulets were worn during the ceremonies which are held to take away or protect the wearer of the zar spirit, which has taken possession of a person, in order to heal this person from the spirits caused illness.
