A Large Military Merit Cross Iii Class Document, Infantry Regiment 61 certificate_of_authenticity obverse illustrating the right-facing bustThe certificate is made out to Oberst (Colonel) of Infantry Regiment 61 and Defending District Commander in Avtovac (present day southern Bosnia & Herzegovina) Karl Wank. He is awarded the Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with War Decoration. The certificate is dated to Vienna on May 8, 1916. Measuring 237 mm (w) x 380 mm (h), presenting two folding creases and light creasing of the edges, remains near extremely fine.
