Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an eight pointed radiant star, with a central rosette within a circular laurel wreath, with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, the pinback maker marked with Prsidialkanzlei code 100 for Wchtler & Lange, Mittweida, measuring 49. 53 mm (w) x 49. 28 mm
