With their striking clarity and beautiful double terminated growths, Herkimer diamonds have been catching the eyes of humans since at least the sixteenth century. This specimen is a Herkimer diamond druzy formation, measuring 3. 04". It was mined in the famous Little Falls Formation, which remains the most prized site for the crystals on Earth.
