A George III Terracotta Grenadier Architectural Second half of the 18thA George III terracotta statue of an 18th century English Grenadier. Dressed in the "red coat" of the 40th foot (2nd Somersetshire) regiment, circa 1767. This wonderfully naive and extremley rare provincial piece of british folk art shows the life size Grenadier with characeristic long hair of the period standing to attention with his musket by his side. English, late 18th century. 41 tall x 21 wide x 17 deep.
