In bronze gilt, measuring 32 mm (w) x 37 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, scattered gilt wear, light contact, original ribbon, better than very fine. Footnote: The intention of creating a medal for "the current war" was expressed by the Ministry of War on November 4, 1941 and reaffirmed on July 3, 1945 and November 17, 1948. However, it was not until May 6, 1959, after Italy had become a Republic, that the award was finally
