A Scarce Prussian Grand Cross Of The Iron Cross 1870 Battalion Flag Topper Auction The authorities have now begunThis is a scarce and very desirable Fahnenzpitze fr Bataillonsfahnen mit dem Grokreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes 1870; the frame of the topper crafted in fire gilded bronze with a matching laurel wreath; within it is a Grand Cross of the Iron Cross 1870 with a silvered frame and a blackened iron core (magnetic); the base with two drill holes and 30 stamped on the bottom: measuring 241 mm x 104 mm; lightly bent; in untouched field used condition. Scarce.
