Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig von Wittich was born 15 October 1818 in Münster to parents Karl August von Wittich (1772-1831) and Christiane Johanna Friederike Elsabeth (1780-1842)

before being invalided to England and returning to Canada and permitted to wear the War Service Badge

the album demonstrates slight material fatigue but remains fully intact and includes all original photos
