A 65Th Regiment, Carabiniers Mont-Royal (Mount Royal Rifles) Helmet Plate With Queen's Crown, C.1889 Newly Listed the obverse is marked “OIn die stamped bronze gilt, unmarked, voided, measuring 74. 3 mm (w) x 110 mm (h), both lugs intact, exhibiting light contact, scattered gilt wear, spotting and greening, better than very fine. The design of this badge is illustrated on page 133 of "Canadian Militia Badges Pre 1914" by Daniel Mazeas (un coded). Footnote: Les Fusiliers Mont Royal originated in Montreal, Quebec on June 18, 1869 as The Mount Royal Rifles. It was re designated as the 65th
