The painting is signed by G. E. Ducasse in the lower right and inscribed along the lowered edge: "Coin Du Quartier Au Port Marchand A Port au Prince." It is an oil on board and dated 1977. Gervais Emmanuel Ducasse was considered the most genuine of the Haitian
