Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an elongated Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a crimped hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of F. W. Assmann & Shne, Ldenscheid, measuring 95 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), demonstrating loss of finish throughout, a mid to late war example in very fine condition.
