A 109th Infantry Battalion "Victoria and Haliburton Battalion" Cap Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Franz Joseph at Cakovec AutumnIn browning copper, voided, unmarked, measuring 51. 2 mm (w) x 53. 3 mm (h), one lug intact, the other having broken off and been lost to time, very dark patina, very light contact overall, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in the Victoria and Haliburton Counties of Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Lindsay under the authority of G. O., December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed July 24, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant
